Flamestitch is dedicated to designing and creating handmade handbags. Flamestitch continually labors under the belief that the designer and maker should be one and the same. This comprehensive view of handbag design produces bags that are functional, stylish and exciting. Flamestitch strives to blur the line between production and consumption, and in the process apply its own open-source ideals fashion.

This past year has been very eventful for Flamestitch. In May, the Patchwork Clutch was featured on the cover of Pretty little Patchwork, published by Lark books. In this book, you can find detailed instructions on creating your very own Flamestitch bag. In June, The Old Slut (a.k.a. The Naugahyde Bag) was chosen as a finalist for an Independent handbag Designer Award. During her stay in Manhattan, The Old Slut enjoyed a week in the window at Henri Bendel, and was also featured on the CBS Early show.
